Greg Zigulis, CIH, CSP, CHSP, to Present for OHS Magazine, OSHA’s 10 Most-Cited OSHA Standards in FY 2023 – and – “Managing Safety Beyond the Obvious”
Each year OSHA publishes a “Top Ten” list of citations issued to employers during the previous fiscal year (October 1st to September 30th). The list gives employers an idea of the top violations that OSHA has identified during their visits to facilities and jobsites across the United States and some of the things they should look out for on their own worksites. At the time of this presentation, it is anticipated that OSHA will have just released a preliminary summary of its citation data for fiscal year 2023.
The purpose of this presentation is to 1) share an update to the top 10 most cited OSHA standards from the most recent years data that is available, and provide context for how that information can be used, 2) raise awareness about other important violation data that could help organizations, 3) pass on other work hazard information that can help keep workplaces safe and minimize risk, and 4) suggest some ways this information can be managed most effectively to make a real difference for job safety. The goal is for employers to take this information and use it to make their workplaces safer for workers.
